As well as individual private lessons, ATNYC offers three main courses of study:
- A three year Teacher Certification Program approved by the American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT). On successful completion students are certified by both ATNYC and AmSAT. Certification enables membership in AmSAT, the largest national teaching organization in the US, and the international Affiliated Societies.
- Intensives, which are opportunities to spend periods of time as a participant in the teacher training course without completing the whole certification program. This is an option for people wishing to have a period of in-depth study of the Alexander Technique; or a chance for someone interested in training to experience what it’s like to be in the class; or a postgraduate ‘refresher” for qualified teachers.
- Postgraduate programs for teachers to refine and advance their skills.
